"A Feast of colour!"

The trip to Marrakesh and Essaouira was a wonderful combination of art and tourism – a feast of colour, sights and smells in alleyways packed with spices, produce and craftwork bursting out of market stalls. Stunning public gardens, brilliant light. An enduring inspiration for artists. Helen S.

Paint the colours of Marakech

We love to host painting holidays in exciting locations. Morocco is just one of those places.

Following our successful 2023 trip, we’re excited to invite you on a painting adventure through the vibrant cities of Marrakech and Essaouira.

Brambles Art Retreat: Peter Davies and Janet Brady – two tutors with 21 years teaching experience. 7 full days painting with tuition. Paint and sketch in the medium of your choice.

Marrakech: Dive into the heart of the bustling Medina, where cosmopolitan energy meets tradition. Sketch and paint in lively streets, serene gardens, and charming Riads, all while soaking in the city’s dynamic atmosphere.

Essaouira: Unwind by the coast in this fortified city, known for its dramatic sea views, working port, and artistic inspiration. Our bohemian Riad offers the perfect retreat, with breakfast on the rooftop overlooking the ocean.

"A WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE THE COLOUR colour!"

“The painting holiday in Marrakesh and Essaouira gave me a wonderful opportunity to experience the  colour, food and aromas of Morocco. We had a good mix of sketching, sightseeing, activities such as a camel ride and a cookery lesson, along with valuable tuition and helpful tips from Janet and Peter. ”  Patsy C.
