Glorious watercolour a wonderful medium to work with.
Janets first love is Watercolour and she spent seven years learning and perfecting her technique. She works with only transparent colours producing bright, clear, crisp paintings.”One of the most difficult mediums to work with, it is wonderfully satisfying when you have mastered it, but incredibly unforgiving and frustrating along the way. Drawing skills are most important, preparation is a key to success, also the need for speed and confidence. Caress the paper with your brushes and cover the paper with as few marks as possible.”
She uses only transparent paints, concentrating on mixing clean and clear colours. Layering of colours on the paper to optically mix and enhance colours.
